Drink water at least 30 minutes before a meal.
Drink water if you think you’re hungry. Chances are, you’re only thirsty.
Drink water at least 8 to 10 times a day.
All these will help you increase your metabolism, detoxify your waste and reduce the amount of food you’re about to eat.
By eating slowly, you can feel yourself getting full. If you eat too fast, there’s a high chance you might over eat.
Here are tips to help you eat slowly. First, put your fork down in between bites. Second, wait until you’re swallowed all the food in your mouth before taking the next bite.
Eat healthy fats
Yes, there are healthy fats. These help provide your body with health benefits that can aid with losing weight.
Choose to eat healthy fats such as avocados, nuts and oily fish. Unhealthy trans fats are often associated with weight gain and heart disease.
Avoid eating dinner after 9:00 PM
Start dining early. Don’t eat dinner after 9 PM. Late night eaters have a higher chance of gaining weight.
Eating late at night makes you eat more and consume more calories which means weight gain. This is often the case. However, if you eat within your daily calorie needs, eating late at night is fine.
Don’t do other things while you’re eating
When you’re working, it can be tough to focus on eating. This often leads to overeating because you’re distracted while chowing down your meal.
Being busy with work can also result to skipping meals. Sure. Those calories you skipped can help you lose weight, but when you deprive yourself of regular meals, you’ll have a higher chance of overeating on your next meal.
Be a smart snacker
Pre-portion your snacks according to their serving size and snack intentionally. If you eat mindlessly throughout the day, you might be unknowingly taking in more than you think.
