If you have difficulty getting fruits on a regular basis, you can also opt for multivitamins to get all of the needed nutrients in one too.

Quit smoking

Smoking doesn’t just damage the lungs, it also weakens your immune system and worse gives you cancer. 

Chain smokers have a higher chance to acquire respiratory complications which could be difficult for the immune system to fight off.

Eat healthy

It is important to have a healthy diet inorder to boost your immune system. This includes lots of lean protein, fruits, vegetables and complex carbohydrates. 

Eating your fruits and leafy vegetables not only is one of the best on how to boost your immune system, it also makes you feel energetic. Moreover, it gives you healthy and younger-looking skin too! 

Exercise

Working out isn’t just for people who want to achieve a fit body – it may also help in flushing out toxins in our body through sweat and causes a change in our antibodies and white blood cells. 

Regular physical activity of 30 minutes per day for at least 3x a week could help on how to boost your immune system. However, don’t push yourself too hard as it may tilt the balance and weaken your immune system. 

Manage your stress level

Stress actually affects our body responses to bacteria and viruses. When dealing with a lot of stress, our stress hormone known as cortisol slowly interferes with our immune system. 

Try keeping your stress level down through relaxation techniques on a regular basis such as meditation, yoga, and proper breathing. You could surround yourself with nature and take a relaxing stroll  too.

Ensure your vaccines are up to date

Vaccines are also important on how to boost your immune system. But how does it do it? 

Vaccines work as a training ground for your immune system. They safely introduce foreign pathogens into our body to help stimulate the production of antibodies. 

When our body recognizes these viruses or bacteria in the future, it would then be easier for our immune system to fight it off before it spreads in our body. 

These are just some of the simple ways of boosting your immune system. Make it a habit out of 2 or 3 of them and you’ll find yourself less likely to get sick than before.
