Always bring your own water bottle
This is one of the easiest tips when you want to start a sustainable lifestyle. By bringing your own reusable water bottle, you save money, create less waste and save resources. There’s no need to buy any of those water bottled in plastic containers anymore!

Grow your own food
If you don’t have a backyard or live in an apartment, you can try rooftop gardening or balcony gardening. Not only will you save money on growing your own food, but you’re also creating green spaces in your community which can help offset carbon emissions. Organic fabrics are better for your healthy and overall, more sustainable. You can get your very own organic fabrics here. Plus, you can buy organic fabrics at a lower price compared to the other big-name fabric suppliers!
Use LED Lighting
LED lighting (and CFL bulbs) last longer than incandescent lighting. With that said, you can save a lot of money, and time with LED lighting since you won’t need to keep buying incandescent lighting.
Avoid tissues and paper towels
Tissues and paper towels need a lot of resources to be produced. Not only that, but they create a lot of waste, too. Reduce the use of paper towels and tissues by transitioning to handkerchiefs, using cloth napkins, and attaching a bidet to your toilet. And the best part? These will save you money.

Reduce your purchases
Before you start buying something, ask yourself “Do I really need it? Is it a want or a need?”. Because if you don’t need it, why buy?
Also, check the labels to know if the production of that product has a negative impact on our environment and what further impacts will it have once disposed of? Don’t buy products that you know have negative impacts on our environment. Buying one means supporting its production.
You can also avoid impulse buying by waiting for at least 7 days before you decide on buying something. Reducing your purchase means less waste. And you also save more money!
Here are a few things you should stop buying to save thousands!
Ditch the plastic
Almost everything nowadays is made of plastic but you will always find zero waste swaps for your plastic items. However, by ditching the plastic, you should avoid buying any more plastic, use less plastic, and recycle or reuse the ones that you have. Don’t let those plastics end up in the landfill. Instead, find a way to repurpose them.
